James Reese

James Reese is an experienced health insurance and technology professional with over 29 years of operational, analytical, professional, consultative, and leadership experience. James began his career working in various health plan operational roles including System Configuration, Claims, Customer Service, and Provider Relations. Subsequent to working in Operations, James progressed into multiple technological and vendor-based analytical roles before moving into Process Management as an Architect where he was able to apply his business, industry and technology knowledge to help improve the integration of people, processes and technology with the mission to improve value for the organization and its respective members and constituents, while reducing cost and improving efficiency, quality, and profitability. James left the health insurance industry and joined a Fortune 100 transportation company where he was responsible for the Public Affairs, Legal and Medical technology portfolios.

More recently, James returned to the health insurance industry where he served as the Operations Senior Vice President for a health plan BPO/TPA organization before accepting the opportunity to lead a newly formed IT Product and Services Management team for the same company. In his latter role, James was responsible for building the Product Management team as well as leading the stabilization of IT products and services, successfully managing and negotiating client expectations, establishing a singular product backlog, and improving the technology platforms used to serve over 1 million commercial and Medicare Advantage members.

James earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of North Florida, a Masters in Management Information Systems from Florida State University, along with certifications from the Project Management Institute as an Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and as  Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt.
